The derelict building in Barrow, Whalley, Lancashire was purchased by the local council with the vision of transforming it into a vibrant new village hall and community hub. The redevelopment aimed to bring the building back into public use, providing flexible spaces for meetings, events and local activities.
To make full use of both floors of the property, accessibility for all users was a key requirement. A two-stop configuration was specified, with both entrances located on the same side, allowing the lift to be seamlessly positioned within the newly constructed staircase. The completed installation has transformed the accessibility of the new Barrow Village Hall.
