This iconic mill has a rich heritage dating back to the 19th century, playing a key role in the region’s industrial development and paper production. Today, under Essity’s ownership, the site continues to produce huge volumes of paper-based products used across the UK and beyond.
To support this high-output environment, the mill relies on two heavy-duty goods lifts – one with an 18-tonne capacity, and the other rated to 25 tonnes. These industrial workhorses transport vast quantities of paper around the site every day, forming a critical part of Essity’s internal logistics.
Given the sheer volume of materials moving through the mill, it’s no surprise that waste paper and debris can quickly accumulate in and around the lift shafts. That’s where our expert team comes in.
Each month, TJ Lift Solutions carries out thorough clearing operations, removing compacted paper waste and ensuring both lifts remain safe, efficient and fully operational. Our monthly maintenance routines are key to preventing breakdowns and maintaining productivity on site.
